New week, new preview: We start into the new month of April with numerous exciting concerts and recitals of our premiertone artists.
The week begins with a performance of Bach's "St. John Passion" in the concert church of St. Johann in Schaffhausen. Robert Koller will be on stage here, among others. The soprano Sunhae Im can be heard with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" on Monday and Thursday in Shenzhen and Bahrain.
On April 5, Ilia Papandreou is singing the main role again in Strauss' "Ariadne auf Naxos" at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg.
The Novus String Quartet starts the new week with a concert at the Konzerthaus Vienna with works by Sibelius, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Schubert. This Friday, the Doric String Quartet will perform in Wiltshire music by Beethoven, Britten and Schubert. The Ensemble Passo Avanti plays a concert in Cham on April 7.
Meike Bertram and Yasko Linnartz play a duo concert in Bielefeld and Gifhorn on April 6 and 7.
Nils Mönkemeyer is touring with Alina Ibragimova, Christian Poltéra and William Youn, in Dortmund, Berlin, Antwerp, Göppingen and Neumarkt.
Additionally, the popular violist performs at the InselKonzerte a charity concert in the library hall of the Augustiner Chorherrenstift on Saturday. At the Schloss Ettersberg, a recital with pianist Daniel Heide and violist Barbara Buntrock will be held on Sunday with sonatas of their album with the title "1919" by Hindemith, Clarke and Bloch.
Esther Saladin will be heard on Tuesday with the Sonemus Trio as part of the concert series "Unerhörte Musik" at the BKA Theater in Berlin. Under the title "Match" another concert of the cellist with the Mobile Beats Ensemble will take place on Sunday at the Theater Gütersloh.
The Kinnordy House Festival will host a concert of Philip Higham on April 5.
