The summer is coming to an end and the new concert season just started. The premiertone concert calendar is again particularly full in the month of September.
In Nuremberg, the Nuremberg Chamber Music Festival will start on 13 September, with Nicholas Rimmer being the director of the festival.
Already on the 2nd of September, the cellist Claudio Bohórquez will be performing together with the Scharoun ensemble at the Swiss Zermatt Festival. Nils Mönkemeyer will be guesting at the Langenberg Festival and the Mito Festival this month.
Concerts & recitals
For Sophia Jaffé the month starts with a concert with the Zurich Symphony Orchestra under Heiko Matthias Förster. Cellist Joanna Sachryn plays with the New Cologne Piano Trio and Hasibagen on September 22 at Schloss Zeilitzheim. Here, an East meets West Matinee takes place on the Chinese New Moon Festival. On September 27, László Fenyö will give a concert at the Liszt Academy Budapest. Here he plays Bartók's Viola Concerto in the cello version.
Thorsten Johanns gives concerts in Jülich and Düren on September 14-15, where he interprets Mozart's quintet for clarinet and strings.
On the 26th of September Elena Gurevich invites you to the musical-literary soiree "Land der Wunder" in the Hamburg Laeiszhalle.
The percussion duo Double Beats will perform a chamber music soiree on September 22 at Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. On the same day, the Berliner Cellharmoniker will give a concert in the Berlin Konzerthaus. As of September 22, the Doric String Quartet is back on tour and will be performing in Leiden, Southampton, Jersey and Richmond this month. The Kuss Quartett is looking forward to two concerts in Dannenberg on the 20th and 21st of September and to a concert in the Wigmore Hall London, also on September 22.
The 22nd of September in general is the perfect day for extraordinary concert experiences: Daniel Raiskin conducts a concert of the Iceland Symphony Youth Orchestra in Reykjavik on this day. In the meantime, Hossein Pishkar is conducting the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra at the Aeolus International Competition for Wind Instruments in the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
In Kreuzlingen-Emmishofen Mozart's Mass in C minor will be performed on September 29 by Robert Koller, the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, the Oratorienchor Kreuzlingen and other soloists.
Master Classes & Workshops
Right at the beginning of the month, from September 1-9, Gustav Rivinius will give a master class at the Summer Academy in Cervo, Italy. Violists will have the chance to attend a masterclass by Nils Mönkemeyer in Kronberg on September 30. Philipp Zeller will be offering a free master class for students and prospective students in the subject bassoon at the Dresden University of Music on September 21. The harpist Jasmin-Isabel Kühne will give an open masterclass in Hanover as part of the Camac Harfen Germany Tour on the 27th. On the following day, she will be on stage herself for a matinee concert.
